Vol. 1 No. 5 (2024): May 2024 issue
Learners of Primary Six (P.6) were asked to write compositions of what they experience, and feel in their daily interactions with nature and what these speak to them. These learn from St. Kizito Preparatory School Makenke Gayaza.
We hypothesize that if these pupils can ably write about what they see or observe, listen to, feel, imagine, and make sense of them, then when they begin to read they will have a similar mentality of making sense of what they read, and with time, we shall have a generation of young people that can solve challenges in the community through using the skills of writing and reading.
This is the first issue published under this early writing program. Appreciations to the head teacher of St. Kizito Preparatory School Makenke Gayaza, Tr. Lugumira Joseph and the teaching staff for their hard work toward this concept.
